“What I know now is that CB brings together like-minded people from all around the world, and so many of them have become such amazing friends! Shout out to y’all!
Since I have a broad range of interests, I’m lucky as a CB student to get basic knowledge on a huge variety of topics during the first year. I definitely don’t need to become an expert in everything but understanding the fundamentals also around my key interests has already been helpful at work and will for sure be in future studies. I’m not a huge fan of research but since marketing is my jam, it’s quite essential to know the effectiveness of, for example, the campaigns.
That said I’m looking very much forward to my second year since I’ll get to choose electives and dive deeper into topics that attract me the most.

1️⃣ Me in Amersfoort! I actually don’t live in Utrecht but instead in Amersfoort which is just a 25 min direct bus ride away from campus. The city has a really sweet small-town vibe but still offers everything you need.
2️⃣ My friends and I in Monaco! It’s so affordable and quick to go anywhere in Europe from the Netherlands – highly recommend! Just don’t end up at the hospital like us…
3️⃣ There’s also so much to see within the country and, for our convenience, Utrecht Centraal is the biggest hub for trains in the Netherlands! So lucky!”
