CAYR as a complete 10-step process
CAYR can be deployed as a complete 10-step process to be gone through consecutively and in a fixed order. This process helps researchers and stakeholders in practice arrive at a jointly supported research proposal. The 10 steps are:
The steps highlighted in green above will be taken jointly, with all researchers and all stakeholders in practice. The remaining steps are mainly taken by researchers in the partnership, after which the results are submitted to the rest of the partners.
A guide is available for those who want to go through this entire process, which can be found at the top left of this webpage. This guide provides a description, supporting tools and/or working methods for each step. Examples of workshops are also available for the joint steps highlighted in green, with each workshop being a half-day session and combining various working methods into a complete programme, to go through a complete step together with all participants. These workshops can be organised online or on-location.
A lot of concrete and practical material is provided in the CAYR methodology. However, there is no standard approach to developing a research proposal. This means that users of the CAYR methodology will need to customise the material provided for their own research where necessary. The CAYR guide has tips and tools for this as well.
