Gross motor development of infants using home-video registration with the Alberta Infant Motor Scale
During the GODIVA project, gross motor development of infants using home-video registration with the Alberta Infant Motor Scale (AIMS), a method was developed which allows physiotherapists to monitor and reliably measure the motor development of young children using videos made by the child’s parents. The validity and feasibility of the developed method has been studied in this scientific research and published.

On this website you will find all information about the project, such as aims of the study, progress, (provisional) results, meetings and publications.

The Video-method

To help parents to make a usable home video, supporting tutorial materials were developed. The video-method consists of an instruction video and a checklist for 3 age groups which are roughly adjusted to the motor abilities of the infant: Group 1: 0-5.5 months, Group 2: 5.5-8.5 months, and Group 3: 8.5-19 months.
