Approximately 30% of all students have ‘something’, such as a hearing or visual impairment, chronic illness, psychological vulnerability, neurodiversity (dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, ASD), and/or a physical impairment. More than 10% of all students experience some sort of hindrance to their studies as a result. At the HU, there are various organisations committed to providing such students with that bit of needed assistance or support, as well as assistance for other students who want to help to improve the position of those dealing with the challenges mentioned above. Everyone is welcome at the HU!
PowerPlatform
HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht offers the necessary facilities to students who require supplementary support. In fact, we prefer to refer to them as ‘students+’. One of the ways in which the HU focuses needed attention and support to these students is through PowerPlatform. Follow the link to find out who we are and what we do!
Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA)
The Gender and Sexual Alliance is an organisation committed to ensuring that every student and lecturer feels safe and accepted within the HU, regardless of sexual preference and/or gender identity. Follow the link to find out who we are and what we do.
