Week of the international student

Here you find more information about the upcoming Week of the International Student (WotIS) which takes place from 15-19 Novemberwith the theme ‘meet a new world’. All about the importance of an international experience for both Dutch and international students, via all kinds of activities, like speed-dates, lunch sessions, student walks, etc. Especially check the Walk at the USP at Monday, November 15th!

WotIS walks

Wotis Walks are walks through all Dutch students cities during the Week of the International Student. The idea is to stimulate student well-being but also the integration between Dutch and international students. We will plan an informal, nice walk through town and will end with a cup of hot chocolate in a student pub to talk about all things that play on the students mind. Students can sign up through this link. The walks are free and a warm beverage will be on us. One week prior to the walk they will receive an email with information about the exact location.
If your institution would like to participate in these walks, please let us know at: wotis@nuffic.nl. The overview of all the walks can be found here.

Speed dates

There will be online speed dates in which Dutch and international Students meet in so-called online ‘denk tanks’ to brainstorm on how to encourage integration between Dutch and international students on a local level.

Other activities

The WotIS programme contains a diversity of activities aimed towards all different target groups. Most importantly the Dutch and international students as well as alumni and representatives of education institutions.

Have a look at both our English and Dutch WotIS programme.

Organise your own activity

Feeling inspired by the Week of the International Student? You and your institution or school can organise and run your own activity during the week. This can be anything from a social media take over, a buddy event, a network reception, a food festival or a big celebration. The more activities for students, the better! Keep us up-to-date about your activity and let us know if you have questions or need any help.
