NEW CURRICULUM Internship Placement Information & Documents

The information below is for first, second and third year Teacher Education students who started their degree in or after September 2022 follow a new integrated curriculum consisting of Methodological Practice and Pedagogical Practice.

Students who started their studies before September 2022 are following the old curriculum with separate courses for Professional Development, Research, Education and Methodology. These students should refer to the HUSite pages and Canvas dedicated to these courses.

Learning Agreements for the new curriculum

The Learning Agreement

In order to confirm your internship, you need a Learning Agreement. This is essentially a contract with a list of agreements between yourself, your internship school and the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. Ensure that you read it carefully, fill it in completely and get it signed by all three parties.

You can get the agreement signed by the HU as soon as you know who your Learning Team Coach will be for the coming year. You must then upload your completed Learning Agreement to OnStage to complete the registration of your internship.

There are separate agreements for full-time and part-time students, and a further division between first year and higher year students.

List of HU Supervisors / IOs

Some schools, known as training schools (opleidingscholen/keurmerkscholen) have a partnership with the HU. These schools have a supervisor from the HU who guides and assesses the interns at that school. Students can check whether their school has a dedicated internship supervisor via Canvas:
