The Association of Integration and Development (SIR) was registered on 21st June 2001 in Kielce, Poland. For over years SIR has implemented about 70 projects funded from the European Union Funds. SIR has been actively involved in various initiatives that can be grouped in sectors: Social economy and social exclusion; SIR is the leader of the consortium which since September 2016 has been running the Kielce-Ostrowiec Social Economy Support Centre in the northern subregion of the Świętokrzyskie. The KOOWES was accredited by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy in 2016. 2. Labour market and third sector support; SIR awarded 221 unemployed people non-repayable investment grants for business development, and almost 500 provided micro-grants for young NGOs and informal groups. 3. Education and international cooperation; SIR implemented 7 projects under Erasmus + in the area of youth education, counselling and entrepreneurship under which there has been developed: models of enhancing soft skills, entrepreneurial issues and job shadowing schemes, e-learning platforms, etc.

Katarzyna Zapała holds Ph.D. in Humanities, MA in Polish Studies, BA in English Studies and post graduate studies in: “Voice production” and “Polish as a foreign language”. Certified Agile project manager and Agile business analyst. She has applied her didactic experience to her work under the projects conducting number of trainings enhancing the key competencies among young people and adults. Apart from managing duties, Katarzyna prepared numerous reports diagnosing the education system in Poland, training materials on soft skills, and teaching models under various projects. Contribution to the project. Katarzyna was responsible for: supporting conducting interviews and surveys under PR4, conducting survey on math anxiety in Poland under PR3, translating materials delivered under all PRs, evaluation materials under PR2, organizing and delivering workshops and lectures under LTTAs and MEs Poland.

Katarzyna Kowal has been been working in Stowarzyszenie Integracja i Rozwój since 2017, including as a project officer in the International Department since 2021. My engagement in the “Numeracy in Practice” project included: translating project materials from Polish to English and from English to Polish, assisting in organisation of meetings and conferences in Poland to disseminate the project outputs, a participating in project meetings and trainings in Barcelona in Spain and in Linz in Austria. In addition, I took participated remotely in the final conference in Lion in France.
