Helpful working methods
Various working methods can be used to make good use of the multi-perspectivity and the diversity of views of those jointly developing a research proposal. These working methods can be used at the initial introduction, but also as part of later collaborative sessions during the process.
At the bottom of this page, outlined in blue, you can download three different working methods that allow people to meet not only in terms of content, but also on a personal level. These working methods promote showing mutual respect and a sense of belonging. The working methods help to enable everyone to provide input and they make room for the different perspectives and experiences of all participants.
The ‘check-in’ is a general working method that could be used in any type of meeting to ignite multi-perspectivity.
‘Contemplative dialogue’ and ‘motivations’ are working methods that can be used at times that call for the deepening of multi-perspectivity.
The ‘CAYR as a complete process’ manual contains examples of workshops previously organised within the framework of CAYR. In these workshops, the three working methods mentioned above were used at different times and for different purposes. The descriptions of the workshops in the CAYR manual may be able to provide inspiration for how the working methods mentioned here can be used during collaborative meetings.
