Education is a successful means to make young people aware of their living environment, the way they influence the environment and vice versa. The educational programme of the Cultural Heritage and Education project challenges the students to shape their own view of life in the concerning area in the past, present and future. In this way the project hopes to contribute to the awareness of students’ identity. By working on the students’ knowledge, skills and attitude in an active way, the project supports the students’ acquisition of competences like ‘cooperation’, ‘communication and literacy’, and ‘critical and creative thinking’.
