The Diversity & Inclusion Network
In 2020, the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Network was established and consists of HU students and staff. The Network D&I contributes to the HU’s ambition: to work towards a promising, equal, and accessible university of applied sciences. The D&I Network connects individual initiatives from staff and/or students in the area of diversity and inclusion.
The core team
The core team of the network currently consists of several staff members, the HU diversity officer, and a student driver. This team has an overarching advisory, connecting, informative, and coordinating role within the D&I Network. The core team is particularly concerned with driving community building, a sense of belonging, and visibility and opportunities in the area of diversity and inclusion.
Are you the student we are looking for?
As a student driver for the network, you will be the point of contact for students. You actively participate in making the network visible to other students. For this, you are at least every Thursday available on location in Utrecht and present at events. You make smooth contact with various HU initiatives to establish collaborations to increase awareness about D&I. Together with the employee driver, you will prepare and lead core team meetings.
So are you empathetic and integer, entrepreneurial and results-oriented, can you enthuse and inspire, and – very importantly – can you involve the student perspective in every decision of the Network D&I? Then this role is for you.
What do we offer you?
A time commitment of approximately 10 hours per week is budgeted for the role of the student driver. Students will receive an hourly rate between €14.50 and €15.63. This (additional) job also offers you the opportunity to build a nice network and CV and follow various pieces of training and workshops to further develop yourself in these areas.
