ATEE Winter Conference 2018
The ATEE Winter conference 2018 is over!
We look back on beautiful, inspiring days. Days full of interesting discussions between international colleagues, the exchange of knowledge and ideas, a look at the future of educational innovation and, of course, enjoying the old city of Utrecht. Thanks to the efforts and contribution of all participants, the ATEE Winter Conference 2018 has become a success. We are looking forward to the next ATEE conference in Bialystok, Poland.

The ATEE Winter Conference 2018 was held on February 15th and 16th in Utrecht and was organised by the Archimedes Institute from the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. The HU is an ambitious university in dynamic surroundings. As a university of applied sciences, the HU provides education and conducts research. Archimedes is the teacher training faculty of the University.
The ATEE Winter conference had a strong focus on innovative learning with as main theme: “Technology and Innovative learning”.
Description of main theme:
Teachers and teacher educators are increasingly challenged to innovate their educational practices and align this with the learning needs of contemporary adolescents. Furthermore, educational researchers face the complex task to study the implementation and outcomes of the use of digital technology in innovative learning environments. Our ambition was, to combine findings of empirical research with experiences from practice by sharing tools, hands-on examples and teaching methodology in order to increase and enhance both regular and refugee student learning experiences. The 2018 Winter Conference was focust on the critical years of learning and development period of secondary and higher education.
