Hi, my name is Michelle, I’m 24 years old and I’m a Marketing Manager at ALDA. It has been my ambition to work as a marketeer at an event company so that I could combine my passion and my profession: festivals and marketing.

ALDA is an international event company that organizes big events and festivals, such as A State Of Trance, AMF, Armin van Buuren presents This Is Me, and many many more. During my studies, I started my internship at ALDA. I went to ADE University, where I got the contact details of the Head of Marketing and decided to send him a creative internship application: a storytelling video that was made in the style of a festival trailer. Before I knew it, I was hired as an intern there!
After my internship, they asked me to stay! I currently work as the Marketing Manager for ‘A State Of Trance’, Armin van Buuren’s radio show which we organize the events for, and his solo show ‘This Is Me’. Together with my colleague David (Head of Marketing), I am responsible for the overall marketing communication plan for those events but also think about the content planning for social media, the offline campaign, but also the marketing budget and the content creation during showday. The showday is the most exciting day because that’s when the biggest part of my job is done: I marketed the event, made sure that enough people knew about it, sold all tickets and then it’s finally time to see all the work of the whole team come together when everybody unites on the dancefloor. ?
I love my job and I am really happy with the broad skill set that I got from my studies. Thanks to the versatile classes I have a bit of knowledge in a lot of things and manage to build onto that knowledge by practising.
