Practical information minor Smart Sustainable Cities

The Minor program ESSENCE / Smart Sustainable Cities is scheduled in the fall semester (September – January).

Introduction for international students
An university wide introduction day is offered by the International Office of the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. More information on the site of HU International office.

During this minor you will have the unique opportunity to work on project assignment for the municipality of Utrecht, Turku or Alcoy. So that means that you go abroad, either to Finland or Spain, or stay in Utrecht. You will have to pay the extra travel and accommodation costs yourself.

Learning agreement
Part of the registration process is the learning agreement between student, sending and receiving institute about ECTS. In this agreement courses and exchange of credits will be set up, to agree on the exchanged credits (obtained at foreign HEI).

ICT access
After the confirmation that you’re accepted in the course, you will receive your login and password for the digital learning environment (the Moodle).

The course will be completed with a student competition. All the students who finalize the course with success, will receive next to the ECTS a certificate of completion.
