Wat leeft er onder je voeten? Tijdens deze workshop duiken we met UU’ers Janna Barel en Noa Tabak de wereld van de bodemdiertjes in – van pissebed tot springstaart.

Wat kun je verwachten?

We gaan zelf op zoek naar deze kleine beestjes met loepjes en zoekkaarten in de hand. Onderweg leer je hoe ze bijdragen aan een gezonde bodem en waarom ze onmisbaar zijn voor een goed functionerend ecosysteem. Een hands-on, laagdrempelige workshop voor iedereen die nieuwsgierig is naar het leven in de bodem.

Voor wie?

Deze activiteit is bedoeld voor alle UU’ers en HU’ers (studenten en medewerkers) die de natuur eens van heel dichtbij willen bekijken. Je hebt geen voorkennis nodig – alleen een beetje nieuwsgierigheid. De voertaal van deze workshop is Nederlands en Engels.

Start: We verzamelen bij de ingang van het Educatorium, Leuvenlaan 19, Utrecht Science Park.

What lives under your feet? During this workshop, we dive into the world of soil creatures – from woodlice to springtails – with UU researchers Janna Barel and Noa Tabak.

What to expect?

We will search for these tiny critters ourselves with magnifying glasses and search cards in hand. Along the way, you will learn how they contribute to healthy soil and why they are essential for a well-functioning ecosystem. A hands-on, approachable workshop for anyone curious about life in the soil.

Who is it for?

This excursion is for all UU and HU students and staff who are curious about the nature around them. No prior knowledge is required, just an open mind! The excursion is bilingual (Dutch & English).

Start: We gather at the entrance of the Educatorium: Leuvenlaan 19, Utrecht Science Park.
