Embark on an educational journey with the new honours course ‘Teaching with Visual Arts’. This course explores the power of using visual arts in teaching across all subject areas and provides participants with practical tools to explore cultural contexts, historical events and scientific phenomena.
Participants will first have the opportunity to study and work with creative expressions in the classroom. Then they will experience for themselves what it is like to learn through artistic forms. Afterwards, they will create a lesson plan with self-selected art forms related to a self-selected topic from their own field and teach it to other participants.
Furthermore, a guided museum visit is included to make connections with artefacts beyond the classroom setting. Following that, participants will design their own museum visit using the guidelines for activities before, during and after the museum visit.
Enrich your educational journey with the magic of visual arts today!
