Toolbox COMPLETE
The toolbox COMPLETE consists of three phases:
Knowledge phase
Video: Experiences of a parent regarding her collaboration with speech and language therapists
Video: Theory about parent-focused collaboration and parenting theory
Reflection phase
Individual assignment: Reflecting on a challenging collaboration with parents using a table constellation
Group assignment: Peer-to-peer discussion about a challenging collaboration with parents using a table constellation
Application phase
Practical tools, training & reading tips, such as
- A leaflet and a poster for parents to invite them to ask their questions and share their perspectives with the healthcare professional.
- Reminders for the professional
- Question examples for professionals to use
- Suggestions for parent-friendly websites
- Action and evaluation plan for the professionals to optimise their collaboration with parents
How to get the toolbox?
We have developed a 2-day training for speech and language therapists (SLTs). At day 2, SLTs will be instructed in how to introduce the toolbox with their peers and receive the toolbox. We do feel that this training is applicable for a broader group of professionals working with young children, than just SLTs. Are you interested in this training, but not an SLT?
