Voor de invulling van je profileringsruimte is vooraf goedkeuring van de examencommissie van je opleiding nodig. De examencommissie kijkt namelijk of de minor van jouw keuze van hbo-niveau is en of er geen onacceptabele overlap is met het verplichte curriculum van je eigen opleiding.

De examencommissie heeft van enkele minoren die in studiejaar 2025-2026 worden aangeboden vastgesteld dat deze geen hbo-niveau hebben en/of een onacceptabele overlap hebben met het verplichte curriculum van je eigen opleiding. Kijk hieronder bij jouw instituut welke minoren door de examencommissie zijn afgekeurd wegens geen hbo-niveau en/of onacceptabele overlap met het verplichte curriculum.

Verzoeken tot het invullen van je profileringsruimte met deze minoren zullen om die reden door de examencommissie ook worden afgewezen. Niet mee eens? Verzoeken aan de examencommissie dien je in via HUKAS. Informatie over het indienen van een verzoek bij een examencommissie is daarnaast ook opgenomen in de studiegids van je opleiding en daarnaast te vinden op HU Wegwijs.

Prior approval of the Examination Board of your study program is required to fill in your profile space. The Examination Board will check whether the minor of your choice is of HBO level and whether there is no unacceptable overlap with the compulsory curriculum of your own study programme.

The Examination Board has determined that some minors in academic year 2025-2026 do not have a higher professional education level and/or have an unacceptable overlap with the compulsory curriculum of your own study programme. Check below at your institute which minors have been rejected by the Examination Board because of no HBO level and/or unacceptable overlap with the compulsory curriculum.

Requests to fill in your profile space with these minors will therefore also be rejected by the Examination Board. Do not agree with? Requests for the Examination Board can be submitted via HUKAS. Information about submitting a request for an Examination Board is also included in the study guide for your study program and can also be found on HU Wegwijs.

International Business  

All HU minors are rejected for International Business students, as they are required to complete a mandatory study abroad component. If they register for a HU minor, they will be deregistered by the examination board. 

Only international students who lived for more than half of their lives abroad are exempted from the study abroad requirement. These students may complete a minor in the Netherlands, if the minor meets the following conditions: 

  • The minor must be taught in English. The only minor that is not allowed is English Language and Culture;
  • The minor must not overlap in content with the IB programme.

International students can participate in the draw via Osiris from 13 – 20 March for an English taught minor. After 20 March, all minors are blocked in Osiris and registration for a minor is only possible via a request to the Examination Board (HUKAS). 

When non-international students want an exemption from the abroad requirement based on personal circumstances, they first must need the support of the programme manager of International Business. When the manager supports your request, you can file a request to the examination board (HUKAS) for your minor registration in Osiris. Add the support as attachment.
